X-Band CW-EPR Spectrometer
Bruker ELEXSYS E540 X-band (Bruker-Biospin, Billerica, MA) with both standard high-Q and dual mode (ER 4116DM) resonators available. Multiple cryostats are available for liquid helium measurements including Oxford ESR900 and ESR910 with Oxford ITC503 and Lakeshore 336 temperature controllers. EPR data acquisition is provided by a Linux PC running Bruker Xepr software and Linux PC upgraded in 2020.
X-Band CW-ENDOR Spectrometer
A Bruker-ESP 300-10/7 with an ESP 350-U DICE ENDOR/TRIPLE accessory and an A-500 and 50 W RF power amplifier allows CW ENDOR measurements in the 0.3–100 MHz frequency range.

X-Band CW/Pulsed EPR/ENDOR Spectrometer
ELEXSYS E680 pulsed EPR spectrometer (Bruker-Biospin, Billerica, MA) pulsed-EPR spectrometer with new (2023) EN4118X resonator. This system includes the E-560D-pulse ENDOR and E-580-pulse ELDOR accessories allowing for echo-detected EPR, 2- and 3-pulse 1D ESEEM, 2D ESEEM (HYSCORE), pulsed ENDOR, pulsed ELDOR (DEER), inversion recovery, and transient EPR at 9-10 GHz. The spectrometer is equipped with CF935 LHe cryostat for collecting data down to 4 K. The E-680 system is controlled through a Linux workstation with Xepr, the EPR acquisition and data manipulation software.
Cold Edge Stinger Closed Loop Cryosystem
The EPR facility installed a high power (1W) closed loop liquid helium cryosystem in 2023. This system can be used interchangeably with both CW and pulsed X-band EPR The Stinger is compatible with available Oxford variable temperature LHe cyostats (ESR900 and CF935) and sample temperature is regulated by Lakeshore 336 temperature controller. An Oxford ESR910 cryostat is also available for CW EPR data collection below 4 K.
